Our popular resource, A Guided Discovery of Canada’s Food Guide, has gone digital! These five e-learning modules engage grades 4-6 students in Alberta in a gamified learning experience to explore the Canada’s Food Guide website and facilitate a deeper understanding of concepts within the Food Guide. Students can apply their learning to real world scenarios using critical thinking skills when engaging with health and nutrition messages.

There are five modules that each highlight a different component of Canada’s Food Guide. We recommend starting with the lesson “Canada’s Food Guide Plate” as it reviews foundational concepts that are built upon in subsequent lessons. Dive deeper into the Food Guide, using the additional four lessons as time allows.
